Great location...good food, some really enterprising recipes, friendly, helpful service...

One thing that The Navvy oozes is a great humour and friendliness about the place, even the directions on the website display a fun sense of character...With The Navvy you don't get an ounce of pretentiousness...I cannot fault the attention to detail in the restaurant; the tables, placemats, fresh flowers...I found it a very romantic setting.

A superb village inn, where the landlord is working hard to provide the best the area can offer to his customers. Mark it down in your Nicholson's guide, plan your overnight stop for Maesbury Marsh and you will not be disappointed.

What a pleasure to discover a pub and restaurant which ticks all your requirement boxes - beautiful location, charming and attentive staff, a relaxing bar area and most of all fabulous food.  Our evening at the Navigation was such a pleasure I can hardly sing its praises highly enough.

The beer garden sits beside the Shropshire Union Canal in wide open North Shropshire countryside offering the perfect opportunity for a gentle walk...and a pleasant evening spent watching narrow boats float by.

Service was friendly & informal, just as we like it, can't stand stuffiness, -Your puddings are the best I've ever had...Can you please move nearer to Pembrokeshire, - Lovely menu...we'll be back, - Discreet and professional service more akin to a high class restaurant than a pub...we were recommended by other canal users, this pub is a gem and we would go some distance out of our way to come again, - Who ever makes your puddings is the best pudding maker ever!
